We had 15 teams interested in our 2 remaining blind pyro spots, and they went quickly. It took a moment to confirm all details, but we are ready to announce our competitors.
Thanks to everyone who expressed interest. If you didn't make it in time this year, we are hoping to see you on the field next year.
Our 2024 Blind Pyro competitor List:
Team Pyro Club
Team Squirrel Society
Team ARPyroBros
Team Four and a Half Men
Looking forward to seeing their shows!

Blind Pyro Rules
Team of 5 people, 100 bucks and a team name to enter.
Money will be collected at 12:45 PM Friday in the setup/display area (Eastern end of Pyro area) where Blind Pyro stashes will be under wraps. No peeking. Rules will be reviewed, and questions answered at that time.
At 1:00 PM on Friday, you get your stash of pyro. At 6:30 PM, you have to be ready to shoot and leave the field. Blind Pyro shows are shot after the demo portion of the evening. Run continuity and have your audio checked in with Gary Scott at announcing desk by 6:30 PM, so we don't have last minute scrambles.
Prizes are $300 to winning team, plus trophy and bragging rights, $100 to 2nd Place, 3rd and 4th place just get made fun of for years to come.
Each team will get 15-20 cases of pyro to use to design a show. Can't add anything else of your own to the stash, and gotta use it all...can't just pay a fee and take home the goods. Must be a pyromusical. All items must be properly secured with racks, stakes, etc. Have plastic sheeting if rain is possible.
We supply the firework and match. You need to supply design, labor, firing system, and equipment/supplies. Brian adds some items to the mix to make it more challenging/allow more creativity/make you cuss him out (whichever you like)
5 minute display time limit, beginning at start of audio or first effect. Layout in the field will be approximately 200 feet wide, 10 feet deep per display. Lanes will be marked. There will also be an iShot finale show this year sponsored by Spirit of 76, so setup is always tight. Play nice and remember that the whole idea is to get 4 great shows in the air.
