Club Shoots FAQ

What should I bring to "the shoots"?

Great question! For first-timers, it will depend on how involved you want to get. Start with the basics: a chair, bug spray, sunscreen, eye and ear protection, close-toed shoes, a flashlight/headlight, and a smile. You may bring your own food if you do not want the food being served.

May I bring fireworks to shoot?

Absolutely! You must always follow all safety rules. Anything different than 1.4g consumer fireworks (available at any standard fireworks stand) must be approved by the safety officer (contact info).

I'm a member. May I bring a non-member friend?

Yes; however, they will not be allowed on the field until they become a member.

Does the club have equipment I can borrow?

Yes, we have an inventory of club-owned safety and shooting equipment available for all club members. Please contact the safety officer for information on what's available and how to borrow it.

May children shoot fireworks?

Yes, in the proper area with their parents present and using the proper safety gear.

What is the alcohol policy?

Alcohol is permitted on-site, but may not be consumed by those shooting.

Is food provided at shoots?

Yes, food is provided at all shoots and get-togethers. If you have dietary restrictions, you may wish to bring your own.

Must I register for shoots?

Registering is highly encouraged. This will help us with a headcount for food accommodations.

May I purchase food from MOpyro at the shoots?

Yes; food is available for $15 per person once everyone registered has been fed.

Do I need a badge to be in the viewing section?

No; however, a badge is required to walk on the field.

Volunteering FAQ

Why should I volunteer?

Besides perks like hanging out with other pyros and assisting the club, volunteers can earn credits towards Pyro Passes to Sky Wars.

How do I sign up to volunteer?

Once you are a member, please contact the director of the committee for which you'd like to volunteer. They will provide you with the proper connection points to get you started.

What do I get for being on a MOpyro committee?

Any member who serves on a committee will receive 2 free Pyro Passes to Sky Wars and a membership renewal credit of $30. One-time discount codes will be used to access free Pyro Passes.

Nope! Location does not matter to us. We have quite a few people that travel to come to our club meets.

Sky Wars FAQ

More info: Sky Wars Pyro Access

Must I be a MOpyro member to attend Sky Wars?

Nope! You may purchase "pyro passes" here on mopyro.org when registration opens for $65 each, which gets you access to Thursday, Friday, and Saturday events. (MOpyro members may purchase pyro passes for $30 each.)

If I'm a MOpyro member, must I still register/pay for a Sky Wars pass?

YES! Registration usually opens at the beginning of August. Spaces are limited, so please register as soon as you see that registration is open. MOpyro members can access these passes for $30, or earn free passes by signing up for a volunteer opportunity.

Is there a limit on how many Sky Wars passes I can earn?

There is no limit. One (1) ticket is earned for every 3 logged volunteer hours.

How do I get tickets for my kids if they are non-members?

Tickets will be available for $65 on the MOpyro site, or they can be earned with volunteer credits.

Where do I pick up my T-Shirt that I preordered?

Your T-Shirt will be waiting for you at the check-in table with your wrist band and meal tickets if you ordered them.

I didn’t order a T-Shirt. Can I still buy one on-site?

We will have some limited hats and shirts available for sale onsite. They will go fast, though!

May I have a popup or big umbrella in the public seating area?

No pop ups in the show seating area at any time. Yes, even if you’re going to take it down before the show. You’re welcome to set that popup anywhere else on the property - by the cars, by the registration tent, etc. Just not in the seating area.

Can I bring a cooler?

Pyro attendees may bring in outside food and drink. However, the public right behind you may not. So BE COOL about it. Try to keep it discreet to the extent possible.

Camping: Where do I go?

If you registered for a campsite, mention this at check-in and they can help you find your spot.
