Become A Club Member

1. Complete the membership application (double-check your spelling and email address) and click Send. You will immediately get a questionnaire back that you MUST answer and send back within 10 days to the membership director for approval. No answers = no approval.
2. Upon approval, you will receive an invoice for payment via email. Once paid, you will officially become one of us!

Types of Membership

We offer three types of membership:

1. MOpyro Membership - $150/year - For 1 person aged 26+ living within 200 miles of St. Louis.
2. MOpyro Long Distance Membership - $75/year - For 1 person living over 200 miles from St. Louis.
3. MOpyro Junior Membership - $75/year - For 1 person ages 6-25. Excludes the Board of Directors vote.

Memberships last from January 1st to December 31st the following year. If you sign up from October 1st through December 31st, your membership will be good for the remainder of that year and the following year. Membership renewal will be automatically sent out a month before membership is due.

Membership Perks

MOpyro members gain access to:

• 5 yearly club shoots within a 2-hour drive of the St. Louis area that take place between March and October, each featuring open 1.4g shooting (and, in certain locations, open 1.3g shooting) and at least one main display organized by a club member;
• A standing invitation to bring a show and share it with all the club;
• Pyrotechnic training, including a PGI Display Operators Course (DOC) and a Finale3D training;
• Winter get-togethers once a month from November through March;
• A discounted Sky Wars entrance fee of just $30 with access to all member activities beginning Thursday evening;
• Group buys and wholesaler discounts;
• A members-only Online Forum and emails with club updates;
• A Board of Directors vote, a badge, many volunteer opportunities, and countless opportunities to hang out with fellow pyros.

Membership Duration and Renewal

Memberships last from January 1st to December 31st the following year. If you sign up from October 1st through December 31st your membership will be good for the remainder of that year and the following year.

Membership renewal will be automatically sent out a month before membership is due. Renewal fee as of 2025 is $120 for an individual member.

About Junior Membership

Junior membership is for our members aged 6 to 25 years old. The fee is $75 per year. Junior members will have access to:

• All shoots and all off season get togethers
• 1 meal provided at every event free of charge
• $30 admission for Sky Wars, if no volunteer credits are earned

Junior members do not get a vote for elections. If you are over 18 and want a vote for elections, you may sign up for a full membership at $150 ($120 renewal). Members must be over 18 to be on the display field.

How many people can I have on a Membership?

Only one person is allowed per membership. Spouses and/or children each need their own memberships. Anyone over 25 will need a standard membership and anyone between the ages of 6-25 will each need a junior membership (under 5 is free).

Do I have to live in Missouri to join?

Nope! Location does not matter to us. We have quite a few people that travel to come to our club meets.

May I attend an event before applying for membership?

Yes! Please attend with an existing member. If you do not know any existing members, please email a board member and we will give you instructions. We would love to meet you!

Please note that non-members will not have access to the field, but will be able to watch.

Can I bring a friend if I am a full member?

Do I need to be a Member to attend Sky Wars?

No MOpyro membership is not required to attend Sky Wars, though members get a discounted rate for General Admission. MOpyro members can also purchase Sky Wars Pyro Passes for access to Thursday, Friday, and Saturday events!
